The intelligent unmanned system mother ship is manufactured by Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Southern Marine Science and Engineering (Zhuhai), designed by China warship Design and Research Center and built by Huangpu Wenchong Shipyard. Construction began in July 2021. It implements the three major design concepts of "future", "unmanned system guarantee" and "green intelligence". The ship is the first intelligent marine research ship in the world with autonomous navigation function and remote control function. Obtained the first intelligent ship certificate issued by China Classification Society.

The important equipment of the intelligent unmanned system mother ship has a high localization rate, and its power system, propulsion system, intelligent system and investigation operation support system are all made in China, and the core technology can be controlled independently.

CTOnews.com learned that the master of the intelligent unmanned system has a master of 88.5m, a width of 14.0m, a depth of 6.1m, a design draught of 3.7m, a design displacement of about 2000 tons, a maximum speed of 18 knots and an economic speed of 13 knots. The ship has a spacious deck, can carry dozens of air, sea, and submarine unmanned system equipment equipped with different observation instruments, batch layout in the target sea area, carry out task-oriented adaptive network, realize three-dimensional dynamic observation of specific targets, and can carry out comprehensive marine survey tasks such as marine surveying and mapping, marine observation, marine patrol inspection and partial investigation and sampling.
