Fairphone noted that LineageOS and / e / OS versions of Fairphone 2 will still be actively supported, which means that as long as the developers of these custom ROM continue to support the phone, users will continue to receive security updates.

Fairphone will also continue to sell some replacement parts for Fairphone 2 until they are sold out. Currently, the spare battery costs 15 euros (about 109 yuan), the spare display module costs 65 euros (474 yuan), and the camera module costs 40 euros (292 yuan).

Fairphone 2 users can continue to use the latest version of Android 10 indefinitely, but will not be able to receive security updates later. Fairphone points out that some applications, such as mobile banking apps, may eventually stop running.
