China Eastern Airlines strives to put the C919 into commercial passenger operation in the spring of 2023.

The C919 aircraft is a 168-190-seat narrow-body trunk airliner developed by the Commercial aircraft Co., Ltd of China. It is specially designed for short-to medium-range routes. It belongs to the single-channel 150-seat class, with a standard configuration of 168 seats, and can hold up to 190 seats. The scientific name is "medium-and short-range twin-engine narrow-body civil transport aircraft". According to the previously disclosed purchase agreement, the unit price of the C919 catalogue is $99 million (about 671 million yuan) and the unit price of the RMB catalogue is 653 million yuan.
