CTOnews.com, January 12, the latest data from China charging Union show that there are 66000 more public charging piles in December 2022 than in November, and an increase of 56.7 percent in December compared with the same period last year. From January to December 2022, about 54000 new public charging piles were added every month.

The China charging Alliance said that the national charging capacity is mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Hebei, Fujian, Shanghai, Shaanxi, Hunan, Beijing and other provinces, mainly by buses and passenger cars.

Data show that in December 2022, the country's total rechargeable electricity was about 2.14 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 150 million kilowatt-hours over the previous month, an increase of 82.8 percent over the same period last year, and an increase of 7.6 percent from the previous month. From January to December 2022, the total rechargeable electricity in China is 213.2 billion kilowatt-hours.

CTOnews.com learned that from January to December 2022, the increase in charging infrastructure was 2.593 million units, of which the increment of public charging piles increased by 91.6 per cent compared with the same period last year. As of December 2022, the cumulative number of charging infrastructure in the country was 5.21 million, an increase of 99.1% over the same period last year. In 2022, the increment of public charging stations will be 37,000, and the number of public charging stations will be 111,000.

According to the data of the China Automobile Association, in 2022, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 705.8 million and 6.887 million respectively, an increase of 96.9% and 93.4% respectively over the same period last year, with a market share of 25.6%. Of this total, pure electric vehicles sold 5.365 million, up 81.6 percent from the same period last year, while plug-in hybrid vehicles sold 1.518 million, up 1.5 times over the same period last year.
