CTOnews.com, January 12 (Xinhua)-- Chinese automaker BYD is accelerating its expansion of the electric vehicle market outside China in an effort to gain a higher share of the world automobile market.

Sanjay Gopalakrishnan (Sanjay Gopalakrishnan), senior vice president of BYD's India subsidiary, said in an interview at the 2023 India Auto Expo on Thursday that BYD hopes to capture 40 per cent of India's electric vehicle market by 2030.

It is said that BYD as a global manufacturer must aim high, and India is a good development choice, "because people recognize the demand for electric vehicles, charging infrastructure is on the rise."
