Microsoft said that Polls in Microsoft Teams will be Forms applications, but Forms will continue to exist as an Teams application. CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft switched to the Polls app mainly to enhance the user voting experience in the Teams app.

Microsoft said this change as early as last year, but Microsoft officials did not announce a specific launch date at that time. According to the Microsoft 365 roadmap page, Microsoft plans to switch to Polls applications in September this year. It will first be launched as a preview version, and after getting feedback from users, Teams will be rolled out one after another.
