According to CTOnews.com on January 12, after launching the Xiaomi 13 series composed of Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi may soon plan to launch another smartphone in the same series. "Xiaomi 13 Lite" has appeared in the Google Play Console database under the device code Ziyi. According to the MySmartPrice report, Xiaomi 13 Lite is expected to be a renamed version of Xiaomi Civi 2.

The device design rendering looks a lot like Xiaomi Civi 2. The upcoming smartphone will be equipped with 1080 × 2400 pixel resolution and 440ppi display, the report said. The smartphone will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip and up to 8GB memory, and will be pre-installed with Android 12 system.

CTOnews.com learned that Xiaomi Civi 2 phone has a 6.55in FHD+ AMOLED panel and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Three rear cameras, including the 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and 2MP macro camera. Dual front cameras, including the 32MP main camera and 32MP ultra-wide-angle camera, are used for selfies and video calls.

At the same time, a report said Xiaomi plans to launch the Xiaomi 13 series of phones around the world at the upcoming MWC 2023 in Barcelona, Spain, from February 27 to March 2. Xiaomi may also release a new Mi 13 Ultra model with Leica imaging technology.
