Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

On the morning of January 12, Beijing time, it was reported that Twitter under the leadership of Elon Musk (Elon Musk) was trying to preserve advertising revenue, but advertisers continued to alienate Twitter. It is reported that GroupM, the world's largest advertising buying company, has cut advertising spending on the Twitter platform by 40 to 50 per cent.

With the end of the advertising campaign identified last year, Twitter executives are desperate for new sources of advertising revenue. Some Twitter employees even hinted to ad buyers that they might not be able to keep their jobs unless they spent more money on Twitter.

Twitter executives have reportedly told advertisers that for now they can only adapt to the unpredictability of Mr Musk, the company's chief executive. However, advertisers prefer less controversial content when placing ads.

Since Mr Musk became chief executive of Twitter, Twitter has been trying to open up new sources of revenue. At the end of last year, Twitter began charging $8 a month for Blue V certification services. There are also reports that Twitter executives are considering online auctions of some banned accounts to raise more money.

Mr Musk borrowed heavily from banks in his previous $44 billion acquisition of Twitter. Twitter is currently facing more and more interest payments.

Before Musk took over last October, advertising was Twitter's most important source of revenue. However, since Musk took over Twitter, major global advertising agencies such as Epizhi and IPG have advised clients to suspend advertising on Twitter.
