CTOnews.com January 12 news, Apple recently published App Store results, since the launch of 2008 has paid developers $320 billion. However, UBS analyst David Vogt believes App Store revenue could fall 7% to 8% in December 2022 based on Apple's flat year-on-year revenue rate.

UBS also estimates Apple's blended-take rate in the App Store at between 22% and 24%.

CTOnews.com understands that while Apple expects its services business to grow in December, UBS believes the App Store will continue to be affected by macroeconomic factors such as currency and inflation, as well as weak digital advertising and gaming.

Vogt forecast Apple's services business at about $20 billion, roughly in line with its $20.3 billion forecast, and estimated that the App Store accounts for nearly 25 percent of the services business.

Despite the likely decline in December App Store earnings, UBS maintained its target price per share for AAPL at $180. It is based on a multiple of 25 times earnings per share of $6.55 for calendar year 2024.
