With the continuous innovation of technology and more diversified applications, the competitiveness of small and medium-sized OLED panels in China will be further enhanced.

The share of domestic OLED has increased. According to the CINNO Research survey data of continuous stock in the fourth quarter, the market share of domestic smartphone OLED panels has accounted for 30% of the global market in the third quarter of 2022, an increase of more than 10% compared with 20% in the same period last year. From the specific ranking of manufacturers and their respective market share, the top ten domestic manufacturers occupy as many as five seats, and BOE occupies the runner-up position with a share of 13%.

Since entering Q4, domestic OLED has continued to shop OLED market. Major domestic brands such as BOE, Vicino, Tianma and other major domestic mobile phones have provided screens and released various models, such as Huawei folding screen Pocket S, supplied by BOE and Vicino; Honor folding mobile phone Magic Vs provided by BOE; Glory 80 series is provided by domestic screen manufacturers Tianma, Vicino and BOE; Redmi Note 12 Pro is supplied by Tianma and Vicino. And the true self realme 10 Pro + with 2.33mm ultra-narrow chin and 2160Hz PWM high-frequency dimming is provided by Tianma.

Domestic OLED screen PWM high-frequency dimming technology field has been curved overtaking in high-frequency PWM dimming, domestic panel manufacturers have also walked in the industry-leading position, PWM high-frequency dimming has broken through to 2160Hz, far exceeding Samsung OLED screen. Compared with the conventional 480Hz PWM dimming screen, 2160Hz UHF PWM dimming technology increases the dimming frequency by 4.5 times, which is more eye-protecting.

Folding screen low power consumption may be a new breakthrough for domestic OLED corner overtaking. According to CINNO Research data, sales of folding screen phones in China increased by 114% in the third quarter of 2022 compared with the same period last year. Domestic folding phone sales in the first three quarters were higher than the same period last year. It is well known that the folding screen has the advantages of folding, bending, light and thin, easy to carry and so on, and then it will have higher requirements for the screen, especially in terms of power consumption, which is also a point that domestic manufacturers have been making efforts all the time, and there has been an obvious breakthrough in recent years. CTOnews.com learned that the LTPS P0.9 glass-based MLED products released by Beijing Oriental at the end of December last year adopted a new LED chip structure design, which can significantly reduce power consumption by more than 40% compared with traditional LED, and has greatly improved in terms of low power consumption; in September last year, Tianma released CFOT technology to replace polarizers, reducing panel power consumption by more than 25%. With Tianma's breakthroughs in HTD, MLP and other innovative technologies, with the integration of three cool techs items in HTD+MLP+CFOT, the power consumption of the whole machine panel based on relevant application scenarios can be greatly reduced by more than 30%. It is not difficult to see that in recent years, with the continuous efforts of domestic manufacturers, domestic low-power technology has made obvious progress, and the gap with foreign countries is also constantly narrowing. Continuous efforts may be expected to become a new breakthrough for domestic OLED corner overtaking.
