CTOnews.com According to a tweet shared today by Bloomberg Mark Gurman, Apple is testing a new Apple Silicon Mac Pro running macOS 13.3.

Given that macOS 12.3 will be released in March 2022 and macOS 11.3 in April 2021, macOS 13.3 is likely to be released in the spring as well. Apple will likely unveil Mac Pro at this spring's event, followed shortly by macOS 13.3 for computers. The new Mac Pro is expected to come with Apple's new M2 Ultra chip, but the higher-end "M2 Extreme" chip has reportedly been canceled.

In October, Gurman said the long-awaited MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch models with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips would also be bundled with macOS 13.3, suggesting that those laptops could also be released this spring.

Gurman has previously claimed that a new Mac mini is testing the M2 and M2 Pro chips, but he hasn't talked about what's new in the Mac mini lately. The device is expected to be released alongside new Mac Pro and MacBook Pro models. Meanwhile, Apple will continue to sell Intel-based Mac Pro and Mac mini configuration devices.

CTOnews.com has learned that Apple hasn't released any new Macs since the launch of the MacBook Air with the M2 chip last July, creating a longer window.
