Apple has applied for the trademarks "Reality OS" and "xrOS," after foreign technology media 9to5Mac said the two names existed at the same time. The former is based on iOS platform and the latter is based on macOS platform. It is unclear what the difference between the two systems will be.

CTOnews.com learned that The Information, a foreign technology media, pointed out in its 2021 report that Apple's first headset company needed to connect to the iPhone, and most of the processing was done on the iPhone side. Apple has also developed a head-mounted device that can run independently and does not need to be connected to an iPhone to operate.

In the latest issue of the Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said previous reports about the device, which were due to be released in January (this month), were accurate-but that time has now been delayed.

He said Apple intends to release its first AR / VR headset in the spring, before WWDC in June, possibly named "Reality Pro." The device will go on sale in late fall 2023, in line with Kuo's forecast.
