According to foreign media reports, SK Hynix revealed on Tuesday local time that they have begun to introduce artificial intelligence solutions into the semiconductor production process to improve production efficiency and yield.

In the report, foreign media mentioned that SK Hynix introduced a virtual measurement artificial intelligence solution called "Panoptes VM" developed by Gauss Lab, which uses sensor data to predict the results of the production process.

SK Hynix is currently introducing the artificial intelligence solution of Gauss Lab into the thin film deposition process. Thin film deposition is a key process to cover the film on the wafer. the thickness and reflectivity of the film are directly related to the quality of the semiconductor, but because the film is very thin and small, it takes a lot of time and resources to measure the film on each wafer.

Foreign media reported that after the introduction of Gauss Lab's "Panoptes VM" artificial intelligence solution, SK Hynix not only increased production, but also increased the dispersion of the process by an average of 21.5%.

Gauss Labs specializes in industrial artificial intelligence, and SK Hynix has also invested in this laboratory. After "Panoptes VM" plays a role in the thin film deposition process, SK Hynix and Gauss Labs are expected to apply this artificial intelligence solution to more processes.
