CTOnews.com, January 11, Yizhuo China announced the launch of the RadiForce MX243W, a 24.1-inch 2.3-megapixel (1920 x 1200-pixel) display for displaying medical records and viewing diagnostic images in hospital and clinic environments.

CTOnews.com learned that the display has a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. This provides more space for comfortable viewing of images, tool options panels, and other windows than traditional square displays.

The body of the display is designed with rounded corners and the back is designed with elegant curves, showing a sense of softness as a whole.

Using a new display body and base design, compared with the previous generation, the width and thickness of the display are reduced by 23mm and 45mm, respectively. This reduces the space occupied by the monitor by 24%, thus providing more space for other tasks.

With DisplayPort connections, multiple monitors can be connected in turn according to daisy links (graphics cards that need to support daisy links) to configure multiple monitors without complex cabling.

The CAL Switch function allows users to choose different display modes for different modes, such as CR, CT and endoscope. Using the included RadiCS LE software, you can set the mode to automatically switch to view the best images.

The Hybrid Gamma PXL function automatically distinguishes grayscale and color images pixel by pixel, and the mixed gamma display makes each pixel have an appropriate grayscale-color level.

As a result, grayscale images (such as CR and DR) can be displayed in grayscales corresponding to DICOM Part 14 curves, while color images (such as those used in endoscopy, nuclear medicine, 3D rendering and fusion imaging) can be truthfully reproduced at Gamma 2.2 curve levels. This improves the efficiency of viewing grayscale and color images at the same time on the same screen.

Medical displays must meet the performance standards with high brightness. However, in order to achieve high brightness in the LCD panel, it is necessary to increase the pixel aperture ratio. This usually leads to a loss of clarity. The Yizhuo display uses the unique "Sharpness Recovery" technology, which can restore the reduced definition (MTF) to the original value. This ensures that the monitor can display images that are consistent with the source data, even at high brightness levels.

MTF measures numerically how the panel faithfully displays the details of the original image data for viewing. When the Sharpness Recovery (sharpness recovery) function is turned on, the MTF will increase by about 50% in 2 pixel pairs (spatial frequency is 0.926 cycles / mm).

Yizhuo carefully measures and sets the grayscale before the product leaves the factory to ensure that the monitor conforms to DICOM Part 14 standards. In addition, Yizhuo's proprietary offset correction function can quickly stabilize the brightness level when the display is just turned on or awakened from sleep mode, compensating for brightness fluctuations caused by the passage of ambient temperature and time, thus truthfully reproducing medical images with stable brightness and grayscale.

The monitor can be easily calibrated in accordance with DICOM Part 14 using the included RadiCS LE quality control software, and RadiCS LE can correct the brightness and grayscale hue of the display, thus maintaining the accuracy and consistency of the image for a long time.

CTOnews.com learned that the display is made of about 19% recycled plastic. In order to reduce the impact on the environment, Yizhuo no longer uses plastic and Styrofoam in packaging. The display is safely packaged with molded pulp made of recycled cardboard and newspapers, and the cable is packaged with environmentally friendly pulp board instead of plastic bags.
