Prior to this, the AC311A helicopter has obtained STC forensics in the installation of agricultural and forestry spraying equipment and power line patrol equipment.

Based on the standard configuration of AC311A helicopter forensics, Changfei has successively organized and carried out a series of work, such as engineering data compilation, manufacturing compliance inspection, ground and flight tests, and submitted an application for STC to the East China Regional Administration in April 2022. In early May, the East China Regional Administration agreed to accept and issue a notice of acceptance, completed all the review of the project in October, held the last meeting of project forensics in November, and completed the project forensics on December 7.

The installation of fire bucket equipment for AC311A helicopter is the second STC project after the construction of the refit design guarantee system of Changfei civil aircraft in aviation industry and approved by the Civil Aviation Administration. The forensics cycle of fire bucket equipment is half shorter than that of power line patrol equipment in 2021.

CTOnews.com learned that the AC311A helicopter is a 2-ton light general-purpose helicopter based on the AC311 helicopter platform, through the replacement of high-power engines and the use of integrated avionics system and other technical measures to improve the performance of the helicopter and realize the serialization and family of AC311 products. The AC311A helicopter made its maiden flight in August 2014, completed the plateau forensics test flight in October of the same year, completed the alpine forensics test flight in March 2015, obtained the model certificate issued by CAAC in August 2016, passed the AEG review in November of the same year, and achieved user delivery.
