CTOnews.com, January 10, Toyota (Toyota) announced today that it has started selling a new series of Prius hybrids (HEV) and will launch a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) around March this year.

It is reported that the 2023 Toyota Prius HEV is priced at 2.75 million yen (about 141000 yuan) to 3.92 million yen (about 201000 yuan) in Japan, the maximum power of the system is 196 horsepower, and has a four-wheel-drive version with E-Four.

In addition, Toyota and KINTO also announced the new "KINTO Unlimited" car subscription service. The Prius sold through the KINTO Unlimited service ranges from 2.99 million to 3.21 million yen.

As a fifth-generation Prius, the new car is based on Toyota's TNGA-C architecture and is built in the latest design language of the Toyota family, such as the iconic "C" light group on the front face. The side lines of the body are smooth, with a length, width and height of 4600x1780,1420mm respectively, with optional 17-inch and 19-inch rims.

The rear of the car retains the classic style of the Prius and uses the hatchback design, using a new shape of the through-type taillight group. The plug-in hybrid model also adds a charging interface to the right rear fender and optionally installs a solar roof.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car is equipped with a high-level all-liquid crystal dashboard and a multi-function steering wheel, with a suspended central control screen and some physical buttons under the center console.

On the power side, the new car will still offer hybrid and plug-in hybrid models. The plug-in hybrid model adopts the combination of 2.0L engine and motor, the total output power of the system is 223hp, the acceleration time of 0-100km / h is 6.7s, and the battery capacity is 13.6kWh, which can provide pure electric life of more than 94km.
