CTOnews.com, January 10, MSI Afterburner is a popular overclocking and hardware monitoring software, also known as "small plane", jointly developed by MSI and Russian RivaTuner, which can improve the performance of graphics cards and monitor a variety of key information.

Recently, Alexey Nicolaychuk (Unwinder), the core developer of RivaTuner, announced that it had given up its active support for MSI Afterburner because MSI officials had half given up the software and had not paid the development fee in accordance with the contract for nearly a year.

According to the official response from Hassan Mujtaba, editor of Wccftech, MSI doesn't seem to give up, but can't pay for it.

Our product marketing and accounting team is now dealing with this problem. Due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, our payment could not be successfully transferred to the developer's bank account. We are still in touch with him and figure out how to solve the problem.

It seems that PC hardware players are hoping to continue to use this popular software, waiting for follow-up news from both sides.

CTOnews.com learned that MSI Afterburner hasn't had a major update for a long time, and support for new models of graphics cards is seriously inadequate. Unwinder has previously said that its other major overclocking tool, RTSS, will continue to exist and receive future updates and support.
