CTOnews.com January 9 news, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange disclosed that Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway reduced its holdings of 105.8 million shares of BYD H shares on January 3, reducing the average price of 191.44 Hong Kong dollars per share, with a total value of about 203 million Hong Kong dollars, still holding about 153 million shares.

The reduction is Buffett's first reduction in 2023 and the seventh since Buffett was announced in August 2022. Berkshire Hathaway's stake has fallen from 14.06% to 13.97%.

CTOnews.com learned that Berkshire Hathaway bought 225 million BYD H shares at HK $8 a share in 2008 and held it for 14 years until it first began to sell its holdings in August last year.

Buffett held a total of 225 million BYD H shares before the sale began in August last year. As of January 9 announcement reduction, Buffett cumulative reduction of more than 70 million shares of BYD H shares, the current holding of BYD H shares has dropped to 153 million shares.
