CTOnews.com, January 9, according to netizen @ tarunvats33, Samsung is testing OneUI 5.1 version updates for three Galaxy S20 models in India, and OneUI 5.1 test firmware G980FXXUFHWA1 has been found on firmware servers.

CTOnews.com learned that the Samsung Galaxy S20 series received an Android 13 / OneUI 5.0 update in November last year, and had speculated that the series would not be able to get subsequent updates such as OneUI 5.1. For now, however, Samsung has decided to provide a 5.1 update.

OneUI 5.1 is also based on Android 13, but will further optimize system performance to improve operational stability. On SDC 2022, Samsung showed off a variety of new features and personalization tools. For unknown reasons, many features are not available in the OneUI 5.0 update, and many new features, including the new lock screen tool, will be available in OneUI 5.1.

The Galaxy S20 was launched with OneUI 2.1 based on Android 10. Samsung has promised to provide three major version updates for the phone, so OneUI 5.1 can be said to be the icing on the cake.
