CTOnews.com January 9 news, if you are the owner of a business, using security robots can help you save $9 per hour, so would you consider putting it into use? Perhaps many users of CTOnews.com will give a positive answer, but in the actual operation process often encounter a lot of problems.

PG&E, a U.S. utility, recently launched a patrol robot from Knightscope. The initial idea was based on cost considerations and considered to be a very good proposal, but many problems appeared in the actual operation process.

The first is to get rid of the surrounding homeless. There is a sidewalk outside PG&E, and homeless people sleep nearby. But according to a local resident, Knightscope's patrol robots will chase away the homeless and make them unable to rest here.

Another problem is noise. Good human security knows how to walk quietly. Knightscope, however, makes surreal, empty sounds, as if it were auditioning for Doctor Who.

This sound is acceptable during the day, but it is a bit scary to make during night patrols. "We can hear the annoying sounds of robots all day, including when we want to sleep at night," said one resident who lives nearby.

A PG&E spokesman told the San Francisco Standard: "After some preliminary testing of the Knightscope unit and active discussions with the city on the matter, PG&E will not proceed with plans to deploy the unit at our Folsom site."
