CTOnews.com, January 9, after fixing ODBC SQL Server driver problems, Microsoft's official support documentation also confirmed that it will fix out-of-the-box OOBE problems caused by the use of configuration packs (.ppkg files) in Win11 22H2 feature updates.

CTOnews.com learned from Microsoft's official documentation that Microsoft has officially confirmed that "some applications may not be installed when using preconfigured packages". Write in the problem description:

With preconfigured packages on Windows 11, the version of 22H2 (also known as Windows 11 2022 Update) may not install all expected applications. The affected application requires elevated permissions to install (as an administrator) and may not have sufficient permissions to install during the preconfiguration period.

Pre-provisioned packages are used to help configure PPKG files for new devices for use in corporate or school networks. For more information about preconfigured packages, see pre-provisioned Windows packages. Note: provisioning Windows devices using Windows Autopilot is not affected by this issue.

Solution: after the preconfiguration is complete, you can install any uninstalled applications.

Important: if you are using a preconfigured package, we recommend that you install the update released on November 29, 2022 or later before the preconfigured device to prevent the following problems: Windows may only be partially configured, while the out-of-the-box experience may not be completed when using the preconfigured package.

In addition, CTOnews.com learned from the official support documentation that there was a problem with Win11 22H2 that "text translation in some languages may not work as expected", which Microsoft is currently investigating.

When typing in languages that use multibyte character sets, such as Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, the conversion of characters may not work properly. Text conversion occurs when the user chooses to convert a series of characters to different characters. This usually involves other prediction candidate windows and transformation candidate windows, which are displayed near the cursor position as you type.

Symptoms observed may include:

An incorrect range of characters is automatically selected for conversion, causing the conversion candidate window to display unexpected options.

The cursor may move to an unexpected location, causing the wrong character sequence to be selected for conversion. This may lead to symptom 1.
