CTOnews.com, January 8, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said in its latest Power On newsletter today that Apple plans not to make major updates to its iPad, AirPods, Apple TV and Apple Watch product lines in 2023.

Apple is expected to release its AR / VR headshow this spring, and the upcoming headshow seems to have diverted Apple's attention away from the company's other products. According to Gurman, no major iPad updates are expected this year, and major updates will not be available until the first half of 2024 at the earliest, when Apple will introduce 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro with OLED screens. Gurman said Apple is likely to make small enhancements to the entry-level iPad, iPad mini and iPad Air this year.

CTOnews.com learned that for the AirPods series, Gurman said there would not be any "noteworthy" updates this year, which means the new AirPods Max may not be launched this year. The AirPods Max is currently the oldest product in Apple's AirPods lineup, and there are rumors that a lighter and more affordable version is under development.

For Apple Watch,Gurman, it is expected that there will be no major hardware changes this year, only some minor performance improvements. Last September, Apple released a new Apple Watch Ultra, so a small update to it and other models in the series was expected. Gurman also said Apple has no plans to launch a new Apple TV in 2023.
