CTOnews.com learned that the Maserati pure electric model has an extra Folgore suffix compared to the petrol car, similar to Audi's e-tron suffix. Various Folgore models will be launched one after another this year, and the first electric model, the Granturismo Folgore, will be launched in the United States in September 2023.

The Maserati Granturismo Folgore currently uses 92.5 kWh batteries, the 0-60 mph lasts only 2.6 seconds, and the WLTP has a range of 280 miles (about 450.62 kilometers). Prices are expected to start at $200000 (about 1.37 million yuan).

Autocar reported that the first Maserati electric cars will be led by a new generation of Levante, the new generation of Maserati's flagship SUV will be converted to pure electric models, the internal combustion engine will be "replaced" with pure electric assembly, which will be released in 2025, while Ghibli will stop production together with the brand's V8 engine in 2024.

The current generation of Levante has been on sale since 2016, and despite minor changes in 2021, the most urgent thing is to draw a good card for Maserati.

It is worth noting that the next generation of Levante is said to use an improved version of Alfa Romeo's Giorgio platform, which is the platform used by Grecale and GranTurismo.

Whether or not the next-generation Levante also offers fuel models, the Levante Folgore will use a low-power version of GranTurismo's three-motor model. In other words, the new car may provide 755 horsepower (555 kilowatts).

In addition, the president of the Maserati Quattroporte series will also launch an electric model in 2024, equipped with 105 kWh batteries and a range of more than 300km (482.8 km).

Maserati's flagship model, the MC20, is also likely to launch an electric model. According to rumors, the MC20 Folgore will be launched in 2024 with three motors with a total power of 1200 horsepower. If true, all Maserati's new cars will be available in pure electric versions.
