According to CTOnews.com on January 8, Apple began a street view survey in Hong Kong as early as May 2021, which is expected to bring 360-degree street view to users in Hong Kong, China, for about two months.

In 2023, Apple announced that it would restart the survey between February and April 2023, putting map cars on the road again, shuttling through the streets to update changes in different road conditions.

Apple stressed that it will blur pedestrian faces and license plates, and users can also take the initiative to blur other personal information or attributes that may be captured by the camera.

Google Maps Street View has been available for many years, while Apple Maps Street View is called Look Around.
