According to reports, under the unified arrangement of the special class for epidemic prevention and control work in rural areas of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council, the first batch of oximeters have been issued. The special class will sort out the demand of village clinics in each province, organize production and stock preparation, carry out unified deployment, and then be coordinated and distributed to village clinics by the county-level government.

The second batch of oximeters will be sent to 11 provinces, including Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Sichuan, Hainan and Yunnan. Alibaba's Cainiao will provide logistics support for material distribution in these provinces to ensure that scarce supplies are delivered to the rural elderly who are most in need within 2-3 weeks.

It is suggested that families with conditions can buy their own, or neighborhood committees can also send simple finger pulse oxygen meters to people over 80 years old. Monitor whether people at high risk of infection are at critical risk.
