CTOnews.com Samsung and its subsidiary Harman International demonstrated an upgraded version of Ready Care technology at CES 2023. This is a completely new set of automotive driver assistance solutions that collect driver data about fatigue and vital signs and can provide alternative routes to reduce driver stress levels.

One of the biggest highlights of the upgraded Ready Care technology is the analysis of the driver's eyelid movement to detect whether the driver feels sleepy. The system uses machine learning, artificial intelligence and neuroscience principles to monitor and analyze, and when it detects fatigue driving, it will emit a red flashing light on the dashboard accompanied by a warning sound.

CTOnews.com understands that HARMAN International is ready to bring Ready Care technology to market. The Samsung subsidiary is nearing the end of tie-up talks with a leading automaker whose name has yet to be mentioned. If the two sides reach an agreement, Ready Care will most likely be available by the end of 2023. A Samsung Electronics official said the technology jointly developed with Harman would "eventually enter the commercialization phase" if a deal is struck.
