CTOnews.com, January 7-Apple's Apple Watch series has undergone many years of version changes since its launch in 2015, and one of the obvious changes is screen size. The latest news is that Apple will launch the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra at its launch this fall, and its case will be expanded to 50mm, with a significantly larger visible area than the previous Ultra.

The original Apple Watch launched in 2015 has a total of 38mm and 42mm for consumers to choose from. Apple then released the Apple Watch Series 2 in 2016, with the same case size as the original.

Apple launched Apple Watch Series 3 in 2017, the first time Apple has introduced cellular network support. But the case size of this series is the same as that of the previous two generations.

Apple launched the Apple Watch Series 4 in 2018, with screens resized to 40mm and 44mm. An increase of 2 millimeters over previous generations. The Series 4 series also features a new design with a thinner frame to make the watch look more modern and stylish.

The next update to the Apple Watch screen size is in Series 7, which is the first time that the screen has been really pushed to a narrow border to maximize screen space. The Series 7 comes in two case sizes: 41 mm and 45 mm.

In addition to the Apple Watch Series 8, Apple introduced the Apple Watch Ultra, which brought a 49mm size to the market and a screen size of 1.92in. The latest news is that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 case launched by Apple this year will be expanded to 50mm.
