CTOnews.com, January 6, according to a report from TechPowerUp at CES, Weigang exhibited the latest XPG PCIe 5.0 SSD at its booth.

According to Tu Yuan TechPowerUp, this SSD uses M.2-2580 form factor and supports PCI-Express 5.0x4 and NVMe 2.0 protocols. The main control is Huirong SM2508, with the latest generation of 3D TLC NAND flash memory and faster DRAM cache. The SSD provides sequential read speeds of up to 14 GB / s and sequential write speeds of up to 12 GB / s, with a 4K random speed of 2000k IOPS and the highest capacity of 8TB.

This SSD uses an active heat dissipation design, with a built-in 10mm micro horizontal fan, and the heat sink is treated by surface crystallization to increase the heat dissipation surface area. The fan supports temperature control. Weigang says you can hardly feel the presence of the fan when you use it.

Weigang has not yet announced the price and launch date of the SSD.
