Microsoft will continue to support at least one version of Windows 10 until October 14, 2025, but as CTOnews.com readers know, after that you can still choose to pay for patches, firmware updates, etc., but it will be expensive even for corporate users.

Normally, large companies tend to adopt a wait-and-see attitude before the new operating system is widely adopted, usually upgrading or migrating gradually 12 to 18 months after the new version is released. Of course, some of Win11's design choices may deter people, especially hardware requirements such as TPM.

"the feedback we get from most IT customers who have already started testing is that their users adapt quickly and are glad that the new system icon looks more like a phone than a tile," Kleynhans said. They think the overall user experience is more consistent, which presents a more elegant feeling.

Of course, Microsoft also says it has seen the trust of enterprise users.
