CTOnews.com, January 6, when Apple founder Steve Jobs applied for planning permission for Apple Park, the company rented more office space. Now Apple has finally bought all these office spaces.

In 2011, Apple began leasing the building of Measurex computer Holdings, which was about 2.5 miles from Apple's former headquarters in One Infinite Loop at the time. The 373000-square-foot (34651.7-square-meter) campus, renamed Results Way, was then fully occupied by Apple and could accommodate up to 1300 employees.

According to SiliconValley.com, Apple rented the building until December 23, 2022. Apple then bought the park for an unknown amount.

Apple bought the building through a new company set up with its previous owner, Swift Realty Partners, according to the documents. Since the two companies were linked through new business rather than separate entities, the payment of transfer taxes in Santa Clara County was avoided.

Apple first started renting the building a month after Steve Jobs applied for planning permission in June 2011. In that speech, Jobs explained to the Cupertino City Council that the company needed more space because "Apple grows like a weed."

Apple Park's application for construction was finally approved, and Apple's current headquarters campus opened in April 2017. But Jobs failed to see it with his own eyes, and he died in October 2011, just four months after his last public appearance at the planning permission meeting.
