CTOnews.com, January 5, according to the Taiwan media central news agency, the latest data from Hon Hai, the parent company of Foxconn, show that revenue in December 2022 was 629.34 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 141.602 billion yuan), an increase of 14.2% month-on-month, down 12.3% from a year earlier and still the third highest in the same period of the previous year.

For the whole of 2022, Hon Hai achieved revenue of 6.621941 trillion New Taiwan dollars (about 1.49 trillion yuan), a year-on-year increase of 10.47 percent to a record high, CTOnews.com learned.

In terms of consumer smart products, Hon Hai pointed out that the Zhengzhou plant was affected by the epidemic in the fourth quarter, but normal production resumed in December last year, and the related performance in the fourth quarter of last year was about the same as the same period the previous year; the non-major business of components and other products decreased and declined slightly.

Looking forward to the first quarter of this year, Hon Hai expects the operating outlook for the first quarter of this year to be roughly in line with expectations. Foreign legal persons expect first-quarter results to be 25% to 30% lower than the fourth quarter of last year due to seasonal off-season factors.
