CTOnews.com January 5 news, BYD today held in Shenzhen look up brand and technology conference, officially launched a new high-end car brand look up and its core technology "Yi Sifang". In the future, the "Yi Sifang" technology will be equipped with the standard model of looking up to the brand.

"Yi Sifang" technology is the first mass-produced four-motor drive technology in China, which can realize accurate control of vehicle four-wheel dynamics by virtue of four-motor independent vector control technology. Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD Co., Ltd., also said that the brand will take the lead in applying many of BYD's top technologies in the future.

CTOnews.com learned that Yi Sifang is a power system with four-motor independent drive as the core, and officials say it has comprehensively reconstructed the characteristics of new energy vehicles from the three dimensions of perception, decision-making and execution.

According to reports, the embryonic form of "Yi Si Fang" technology appeared in the ET concept car released by BYD Group 20 years ago, which was inspired by Cheetah's perfect posture control at high speed, with four motors independently driving the vehicle's four wheels, "so that it can have four independent and powerful legs like Cheetah, with better safety and performance."

Compared with the traditional fuel vehicle power system, the "Yi Sifang" technology can independently adjust the dynamics of the four-wheel end of the vehicle at millisecond speed through the electric drive system with stronger perception, so as to better control the posture of the car body.

Thanks to the above technical achievements, "Yi Si Fang" technology can provide greater safety redundancy, such as accurately adjusting the torque of the remaining three wheels at a frequency of 1000 times per second after a single tire burst, and making a strong compensation intervention on the body posture through the drive wheel in time to help the driver stop the vehicle stably and controllably. Looking up at the car, it is said that this function is expected to minimize the occurrence of secondary accidents from the source of power.

Models equipped with "Yi Si Fang" technology, because the core system protection capability of the whole vehicle reaches IP68 level, and has good body and cockpit tightness, so it can even obtain emergency floating ability by virtue of four-wheel independent vector control function.

In terms of performance, the highest speed of the "Yi Sifang" platform is 20500rpm, and the whole vehicle horsepower exceeds 1100 horsepower, which can meet the performance requirements of street, cross-country, track and other extreme scenarios. With the independent positive and negative torque output capacity of the four-motor drive technology, the "Yi Sifang" platform can even achieve a braking distance of less than 40m and an agile steering capability of less than 12m while the steering gear and brake are not working.
