CTOnews.com, January 5, BMW unveiled two concept cars, both called the i Vision Dee, at the CES 2023 show. Dee means digital emotional experience. One of the models can change the color of the car in response to the driver's mood.

CTOnews.com learned that BMW showed off a "discolored" concept car at last year's CES, but it only changed to various shades of gray. This year, i Vision Dee changes through a complete palette, with different parts of the body showing different colors at the same time. Even the wheels change color.

Another i Vision Dee concept car is designed to demonstrate the new concept of the "user interface", that is, how drivers and passengers interact with the vehicle. In this case, the "user interface" does not just mean coming from the car.

Cars also have head-up displays, but in the i Vision Dee concept car, the display extends to the entire windshield. BMW says this special feature is the vehicle it plans to start production in 2025. Like other heads-up displays, projected images may include navigation tips or more images, usually mostly transparent.
