CTOnews.com, January 5 (Xinhua)-- Withings unveiled the U-Scan urine filter at CES 2023 on Wednesday, hoping to be the first in the industry that does not require manual user intervention. The user only needs to test the device inside the toilet, and the user can go to the toilet as usual and then receive information about the urine.

Withings says U-Scan urine screeners provide real-time snapshots of body balance by monitoring and testing a large number of biomarkers found in urine, as well as practical advice to improve health. The device analyzes the urine through dozens of test cabins and then follows the toilet flush after each use to clean the equipment.

In addition to the urine scanner, Withings says it will provide U-Scan Nutri Balance, a "metabolic guide for drinking water and nutrition," as well as U-Scan Cycle Sync, which is designed to help women track and synchronize their menstrual cycles.

CTOnews.com learned that, Withings said, U-Scan will be your "health laboratory", only 3.5in in diameter. U-Scan will be launched in Europe in the coming months-a suite containing a filter and a test box will cost 500 euros. U-Scan will be listed in the United States in the second half of 2023 with the approval of the US Food and Drug Administration.
