CTOnews.com January 5 news, Google is pushing the #GetTheMessage campaign, hoping to convince Apple to support the RCS messaging protocol. Google is running ads on outdoor digital billboards during CES 2023 in Las Vegas urging Apple not to "drop the ball" on fixing its "pixelated photos and videos."

Google wrote in its outdoor ad:

Hey Apple, this is Android.

You've dropped the ball in 2022, but please don't continue to drop the ball fixing pixelated photos and videos. It takes a little code to get you up and running...

After a brief message, the billboard scrolled through RCS codes, ending with an appeal to customers to "help Apple #GetTheMessage," a hashtag Google uses for the campaign.

CTOnews.com learned that Google launched the #GetTheMessage campaign back in August and highlighted the benefits of RCS on a full website, including support for higher resolution photos and videos, audio messages and larger file size, as well as improved encryption, cross-platform emoji reactions and more reliable Group chats across devices.
