Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, January 5, Sabrent has released a docking product that converts USB-C to dual 3.5in SATA and RAID, which supports solid-state or mechanical hard drives.
Sabrent's DS-2BCR is compatible with 2.5in and 3.5in SATA III hard drives and backwards compatible with SATA I and II. For safety reasons, it includes a lock key to prevent accidental removal of the hard drive tray during operation.
CTOnews.com learned that the docking station supports mechanical and solid state drives in traditional mode, but can also use two hard drives to form a RAID, supporting RAID 0, RAID 1, and sequential JBOD.
The USB-C port supports up to the transfer speed of 1000MB/s, and the other port supports up to the rate of 550MB/s to read and write CFast 2.0 cards. For SD UHS-II cards, it can support data reading and writing at speeds up to 270MB/s.
The dock is made of aluminum and is equipped with a built-in fan to help extend the life of the disk. There is also an USB-A 3.2 expansion port on the front. The docking station page has been released on Sabrent and Amazon, but the exact price and date of release are not clear.
