CTOnews.com learned that AMD said that the problem exists only in a limited number of Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics cards, but the actual number of graphics cards affected may be higher. According to Igor's Lab, after talking to some system builders / distributors, they said that these problems have been around for several weeks, and that they are not only affected by one batch, but by several batches (4-6 batches). This issue has been known for more than two weeks, and AMD and the distributor (internally) have communicated about it. It has not been finally decided how to communicate the issue to the end customer.

AMD's statement was scheduled to be released on January 3, 2023, but was postponed. It is speculated that the reason is that there is something wrong with the heat pipe and several batches are affected. At present, it is assumed that there are 4-6 batches and thousands of graphics cards, and only MBA public domain design graphics cards are affected.

Internal emails said they had to return more than 300 Asustek MBA, Sapphire MBA, Shakun MBA and Xunjing MBA cards to retailers / warehouses / wholesalers.
