CTOnews.com, January 4, according to the official account of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the 165th Institute of the sixth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation completed the concrete pouring of the main body of the dual-station test rig for liquid rocket engines with the largest thrust in China on December 31, 2022, marking the smooth realization of the goal of building major nodes in Tongchuan test area.

CTOnews.com learned that the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation said that the first phase of the construction of the high-thrust engine test bench in Tongchuan test zone aims at the urgent needs of the research and test of 500t liquid oxygen kerosene engine, the largest thrust liquid rocket engine in China, in order to meet the needs of mass production and new power research and development test verification, and support the "eight-year and nine-engine" construction of the sixth Institute. It will lay the foundation for the smooth implementation of China's major space projects such as manned lunar landing, deep space exploration and round trip between space and earth.

According to reports, the construction of Tongchuan pilot area began in December 2021. From the start of construction to the completion of the main body of the test bed, the construction of Tongchuan test area completed the key goal of the main body of the test bed in only 9 months.

Among them, Tongchuan test bed is the largest liquid rocket engine test-bed in Asia. The foundation raft has large concrete pouring volume and high steel bar strength, with a total volume of 6784 cubic meters and a total concrete weight of 8354.9 tons.
