In recent years, major Internet manufacturers like to launch annual summaries at the end of the year for users to recall the use records of the year and "draw cakes" for users in the new year.

Game manufacturers are no exception. Recently, Capcom launched a year-end survey to ask players which Capcom games they are most looking forward to in the new year. However, in such a simple survey that can be done in a few minutes, the Oolong incident happened.

In a multiple-choice question that asks players about "the most commonly used channels to start games", the options list PS Store, PS Store web version, Nintendo eShop, Nintendo App, Steam, digital download card, PIN code, physical games, and other options, but Xbox is not among them. Obviously, Capcom classified Xbox players as "other" options, but when players chose "other", they didn't even pop up a text box to provide them with the opportunity to enter "Xbox".

Faced with such a strange setting, Xbox players looked at each other and asked Capcom why, but it was not explained, so there was a war of words between players on Twitter.

Some netizens believe that Xbox players only subscribe to XGP and never buy games, resulting in weak sales of Xbox Store games. The survey is a sign that Capcom and the Xbox store are going their separate ways. Moreover, this trend will continue to intensify in the future. For Japanese developers, the Xbox store will no longer be the main way to sell games. In the future, Xbox players will have to rely on Microsoft to pay for the Game Pass library if they want Japanese games to log on to the platform.

They further proved that in the same survey, when Capcom asked players about the popularity of the game, "PRAGMATA" and "Dragon Creed 2", which were supposed to land on the whole platform, were inexplicably hidden from the release platform, so netizens speculated that the two games might become time-limited exclusive games and would not log on to Xbox in a short period of time.

But it is clear that Xbox players are unlikely to accept this argument, arguing that blaming official behavior on "Xbox players do not buy games" is stigmatized. And the Capcom game landing Xbox is in full swing, "Monster Hunter: rise" has been confirmed to be one of the first games to log on to XGP in 2023.

And it's not that they don't buy games, and if they are condemned for subscribing to Game Pass, then players who subscribe to PS + and Nintendo Online should also be pinned to the pillar of shame.

On Twitter, players have been quarrelling over the matter for a week, but Capcom officials have yet to respond. However, the survey is not all bad news for players, at least to confirm that "PRAGMATA" and "Dragon Creed 2" are really in the development process.
