Based on improved Mini-LED technology, the company's new high-end televisions have 4K and 8K models, both of which have higher brightness, improved colors, and many new software features.

Samsung's top Neo QLED TV QN900C has an 8K resolution, a 14-bit Mini-LED backlit QLED panel and a peak brightness of up to 4000 nits. Due to the improvement of its 8K Real Depth Enhancer Pro and Shape Adaptive Light algorithm, the contrast is also improved. The backlight local dimming area has been increased to 1000 from 36 used in the 8K model in 2022. Old movies and TV shows are said to look better on Samsung's 2023 Neo QLED TV series, thanks to an automatic HDR reshaping algorithm that turns SDR content into HDR to comprehensively improve brightness, color and dynamic range.

There is also a high-end 4K Neo QLED TV QN935C in the lineup. Its feature is that the 4K QLED panel has a Mini-LED backlight, a redesigned power board and a frame thinner than 20mm. The new power board eliminates the need for external connection boxes. The new TV also has top speakers, so there is no need to use a dedicated home theater or sound barrier to get a proper Dolby panoramic sound experience. These televisions also have extremely thin frames and an overall slender shape.

However, Samsung TV still lacks support for the Dolby Vision HDR format. They are compatible with HDR10, HDR10 + adaptation, and HLG. The artificial intelligence sound reshaping feature uses AI to reshape the audio associated with each object on the screen so that the sound is clear, the ambient sound is full, and each component has the right volume level. These TVs also have newer versions of the Q-Symphony function, using the TV's neural processing unit to help compatible SOUNDBAR provide better audio quality.

Samsung's new Neo QLED TV lineup also has built-in Matter and ZigBee hubs, so you don't have to buy a special SmartThings Hub controller. Users can use TV to control all smart home devices that are compatible with SmartThings, Matter and ZigBee. SmartThings automatically synchronizes devices added to Alexa and Google Home applications, so you can control all smart home devices directly from your TV.

Samsung's new high-end TV also comes with a newer version of the TizenOS operating system. Brings new features such as Chat Together, ConnecTime, and 3D map views. Chatting together allows users who are watching the same content to discuss things and share their reactions in real time. ConnecTime can transfer video calls from other devices, such as smartphones, to the big screen of the TV. When leaving the TV, the video call will be transferred back to the original device. The 3D map view provides a bird's-eye view of the location of smart home devices in the home and each room, making it easier to control smart home devices.

CTOnews.com learned that all of these new TVs have Samsung Gaming Hub Game Center and cloud game streaming services such as Amazon Luna, Microsoft Xbox Cloud Services, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Utomik. Players can stream media at 4K resolution and watch multiple content at the same time. Game Bar 3.0 is an updated version of Game Bar that allows players to see the smallest map of their game on any screen. There is also a virtual aiming point function to enhance the visibility of the target cross in the FPS (first person shooting) game.

Samsung is making a commitment to the environment and sustainability through its new TV. These televisions have AI power saving mode, which automatically reduces the power consumption of televisions when they are not in use. It also replaces 20 per cent of the bracket components used in SolarCell remote controls, which are automatically charged by ambient light and radio waves, with recycled marine plastic. The main components of the remote control motherboard use recycled aluminum cans and copper, replacing 12% of the original material.

To make these televisions, Samsung is using lightweight injection moulds to reduce overall energy consumption and the use of raw materials. Samsung is also using more compact packaging and using a minimum amount of printed matter on boxes to improve the sustainability of its televisions during the packaging and transportation phases.

Samsung has not announced the launch date of its new Neo QLED TV, but it is expected to go on sale in the first quarter of 2023.
