CTOnews.com news on January 4, Asustek said during the ROG-themed CES2023 event that the AMD Ryzen 7000 "Dragon Range" notebook CPU has a performance comparable to that of the Ryzen 9 7950X processor after opening the enhanced version of Precision Frequency Enhancement (PBO). Asustek announced the conclusion when it announced the 2023 ROG Zephyrus DUO 16 laptop.

The new notebook CPU that AMD is developing, called Ryzen 7000-HX, can provide up to 16 cores and 32 threads, with a cache of up to 76MB. This specification is the same as the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X desktop processor. The AMD Ryzen 7000 "Dragon Range" notebook CPU also supports PBO, allowing users to overclock chips that have been designed in 55W + packages.

Asustek claims that due to the improved cooling system of its new ROG Zephyrus DUO 16 laptop, it can improve the performance of the same chip by 10%, comparable to the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X desktop CPU.
