CTOnews.com, January 4 (Xinhua)-- Samsung unveiled a 27-inch 5K ViewFinity S9 display at CES 2023 to match Apple's Studio Display display, promising "professional screen quality."

CTOnews.com learned that the 5K ViewFinity S9 display uses matte finishes to achieve 99 per cent of the DCI-P3 gamut. The new display is also known for its metal housing and a wide range of I / O options, including HDMI, Thunderbolt 4, USB-C and DisplayPort.

Samsung said the display's built-in color calibration engine (Color Calibration Engine) ensures accurate screen color and brightness, allowing users to adjust the white balance, gamma and RGB color balance using smartphones through the Samsung Intelligent Calibration (Samsung Smart Calibration) application for perfect accuracy. The matte display screen reduces light reflection and glare to minimize interference at work.

Samsung has not yet announced the price of the 5K ViewFinity S9 monitor, but it should be lower than Apple's Studio Display ($1599).
