CTOnews.com, January 4, Acer released new Acer Chromebox CXI5 and Chromebox CXI5 Enterprise Edition and Add-In-One 24 displays on CES 2023, which transform the Chromebox into an all-in-one desktop. Although ChromeOS devices usually perform well in schools, Acer is promoting these products for companies and businesses, explaining that these devices can save space and simplify maintenance, have less downtime and bring long-term cost savings.

Equipped with the latest technologies, including Intel vPro and integrated malware protection, these devices can support the multitasking capabilities and strict security that organizations need today.

Acer Chromebox CXI5, equipped with Intel's 12th-generation Core i7 processor, will have good performance when performing day-to-day tasks, up to 20 per cent better than its predecessor. CXI5 also has an Intel vPro platform built in for additional hardware-based security.

The enterprise version of CXI5 is similar to CXI5, but includes IT management support for 24Plus 7 and allows companies to set Google Management console policies. Acer said automatic security updates running in the background also helped minimise disruption.

If you buy an Add-In-One 24 monitor, you will get Acer Chromebox CXI5 (or Enterprise Edition), which can fit into the base on the back of the monitor. The monitor is 24 inches and supports FHD 1080p. Equipped with a 115o wide-angle 5MP webcam, dual microphones and dual 4W speakers for video conferencing. The background supports AI work to help suppress background noise and make the audio clearer. For those who like to put duct tape on webcams, the display also includes a camera to block the shutter.

CTOnews.com learned that Acer Chromebox CXI5 will be listed in North America in 2023 for $290 (about 2004 yuan) and in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in March for 349 euros (about 2576 yuan). The Add-In-One 24 monitor will be available in North America in 2023 for $610 (about 4215 yuan) and in Europe, the Middle East and Africa from March for 799 euros (about 5897 yuan).
