CTOnews.com, January 3, according to the official news of Samsung display, the company will hold an invitation exhibition on CES on the theme "disruptive Technology Journey to the Future of Sustainable Development" from January 4 to 7. Samsung displays will bring innovative OLED products in all sizes, including small, medium and large sizes.

Flex Hybrid in these innovative products, Samsung will display a display called "Flex Hybrid", which will combine collapsible and slidable functions. Samsung says this is the prototype of a future laptop, and the official rendering has been released.

On the left side of the Flex Hybrid is a foldable design, and on the right is a slidable design. Users can watch movies and videos on a 10.5-inch display with an aspect ratio of 4:3, or on a larger 12.4-inch screen with an aspect ratio of 16:10.

Samsung display does not specify when we can expect commercial products to use Flex Hybrid. TCL showed something similar last year, combining foldable and scrollable displays into one, but we haven't seen any actual devices using such screens.

Although these concept products are very interesting, their commercial viability is another matter. For a variety of reasons, using these unique displays to manufacture products on a large scale can be a challenge.

At the same time, Samsung display will also show a 17-inch slidable display on the 2023 CES. The company has previously previewed the screen on Intel Innovation 2022, but it will be the screen's first public appearance. The display has two designs, one called Flex Slidable Solo, which expands in one direction, and the other, Flex Slidable Duet, which extends in both directions. The folded size of the monitor is 13-14 inches, making it highly portable.
