CTOnews.com, January 3, according to technical analyst Jeff Pu, Apple's next generation of iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have several new features, including a titanium frame, solid keys with tactile feedback, and increased memory.

In a research note for Haitong International Securities, a Hong Kong-based investment firm, Jeff Pu outlined his expectations for the iPhone 15 series, which he said would include a 6.1inch iPhone 15, a 6.7inch iPhone 15 Plus, a 6.1inch iPhone 15 Pro and a 6.7inch iPhone 15 Pro Max. Notably, he expects the Pro to have a titanium bezel and solid-state volume and power buttons, as well as tactile feedback from two additional Taptic engines. He also expects the Pro to have 8GB memory, which is higher than the 6GB of the iPhone 14 Pro model.

Pu said the iPhone 15 Pro model will use TSMC's 3-nanometer process to make A17 bionic chips, while he expects the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus to be equipped with A16 bionic chips and 6GB RAM. All four models will use USB-C ports and Qualcomm's Snapdragon X70 modem for 5G and LTE, he said.

Pu also expects the iPhone 15 Pro Max telephoto lens to use periscope technology to improve optical zoom. As for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus,Pu, they are expected to have 4800 megapixel rear camera lenses like the iPhone 14 Pro model.

Based on "recent supply chain inspections and views on the technology industry," Pu is cautious about the stock prices of many companies in Apple's supply chain. Pu believes that Apple's product momentum has "weakened" and he expects shipments of iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch and AirPods to decline year by year in 2023.

CTOnews.com learned that Pu has a mixed record in predicting Apple's future plans, but most of the information he shares about the iPhone 15 has been rumored before. Apple is expected to release its new iPhone 15 series in September as usual.
