According to news from CTOnews.com on January 3, Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the passenger Association, said yesterday that China accounted for 66 per cent of the world's new energy vehicles in November 2022.

Data show that the trend of new energy vehicles in the world is strong in 2022. From January to November, 12.37 million generalized new energy vehicles were sold, of which hybrid reached 3.33 million, accounting for 27%. Excluding the common hybrid, the trend of new energy passenger vehicles in the world is strong. From January to November 2022, the number of new energy passenger vehicles in the world reached 9.13 million, an increase of 67 percent over the same period last year. Of these, 1.13 million were sold in November, up 53 per cent from a year earlier.

Cui Dongshu pointed out that less than 4% of the world's new energy vehicles are commercial vehicles, with new energy passenger vehicles as the main body. From January to November 2022, China's new energy passenger vehicles accounted for 63% of the world's new energy, of which China accounted for 66% of the world's new energy vehicles in November. This is mainly due to the strong demand for new energy in China, the low production and sales of traditional cars and new energy vehicles in Europe, and high electricity prices in Europe, so China's development is very strong.

According to the data of the Federation of passengers, wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 728000 in November, an increase of 70.2% year-on-year and 7.9% month-on-month. From January to November, 5.742 million new energy passenger vehicles were wholesale, an increase of 104.6 percent over the same period last year. Retail sales of new energy passenger cars reached 598000 in November, an increase of 58.2% over the same period last year, and an increase of 7.8% from January to November. From January to November, there were 5.03 million domestic retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles, an increase of 100.1% over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that data from the China Automobile Association showed that in November, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 768,000 and 786000 respectively, an increase of 65.6% and 72.3% respectively over the same period last year, with a market share of 33.8%. From January to November, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 625.3 million and 6.067 million respectively, double the same period last year, and the market share reached 25%.
