CTOnews.com, January 3 (Xinhua)-- as part of its CES 2023 campaign, Samsung announced the launch of a new generation of QD-OLED televisions, which boast higher brightness, improved colors and more stylish designs.

The 2022 Samsung QD-OLED TV S95B is available in only 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. In the latest 2023 models, Samsung will offer new 4K QD-OLED TVs in four sizes: 49-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch.

Samsung said the new QD-OLED panel uses newer OLED HyperEfficient EL material (for blue luminous layers) and the IntelliSense AI,2023 QD-OLED TV has a peak brightness of 2000 nits, comparable to Mini-LED TVs and LG's latest OLED TVs. Samsung says the new material increases the brightness of each color in the RGB.

CTOnews.com learned that Samsung also uses artificial intelligence and big data to collect picture information of each pixel in real time, which is used to accurately control light, thereby improving image quality and energy efficiency. Samsung says the 2023 QD-OLED TV is 25% more energy efficient than the 2022 and provides improved image quality in dark and bright scenes.

The 2023 QD-OLED TVs are expected to still run Samsung Tizen operating system and support SmartThings, Samsung Health, Bixby, Alexa, AirPlay 2, HDR10+, Tap View, Tap Sound and so on.

Samsung has not yet released the model, price and availability of its 2023 QD-OLED TVs, which are expected to be released in the coming days.
