The meeting pointed out that in 2022, the national railway delivered 1.61 billion passengers and 3.9 billion tons of goods, an increase of 4.7 percent over the same period last year, including 1.49 billion tons of thermal coal, an increase of 13 percent over the same period last year. The country's railways have invested 710.9 billion yuan in fixed assets and put into production 4100 kilometers of new lines, including 2082 kilometers of high-speed railways. The total revenue of national railway transportation was 693.6 billion yuan, of which freight revenue was 478.6 billion yuan, an increase of 9.8% over the same period last year.

Railway safety remains stable

The national railway delivered 2.69 billion passengers, an increase of 67.6% over the same period last year.

The volume of goods delivered was 3.97 billion tons, an increase of 1.8% over the same period last year.

We have fully completed the task of national railway investment, promoted high-quality national key projects such as the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, and put into production more than 3000 km of new lines, including 2500 km of high-speed railway.

The total revenue of transportation was 817.5 billion yuan, an increase of 123.9 billion yuan or 17.9% over the same period last year, and returned to the 2019 level as a whole.
