CTOnews.com, January 3, according to Reuters, an internal announcement shows that Zhu Xiaotong, president of Tesla Greater China, will be promoted to a global management position, responsible for Tesla's US production business and sales business in North America and Europe.

According to an announcement issued by Tesla, Zhu Xiaotong will continue to hold the position of Tesla's most senior sales manager in China and other parts of Asia.

The move made Zhu Xiaotong Tesla's most high-profile executive after Elon Elon Musk, responsible for delivery to all Tesla's major markets and all production operations outside Tesla's German factory, the report said.

Tesla did not respond to a request for comment.

CTOnews.com learned that according to public information, Zhu Xiaotong joined Tesla in April 2014 and took over Tesla as global vice president and president of China in December 2014. During her tenure as president of China, Zhu Xiaotong led a series of issues on the localization of Tesla products in China, including the opening of an experience center, the spread of new cars in China and the construction of the Tesla super factory in Shanghai.
