Twitter has been sued by California Property Trust for failing to pay rent on its headquarters office, Bloomberg reported.

California Property Trust sent a notice to Twitter on December 16 last year asking it to settle about $136,000 (currently about 940,000 yuan) in arrears within five days. In a complaint filed in San Francisco County court this week, the California Property Trust said Twitter ultimately failed to comply with its demands.

CTOnews.com has learned that Elon Musk has adopted a number of radical cost-cutting measures since he took over Twitter, including layoffs, stopping office rent and even rumors that employees bring their own toilet paper to work.

According to a previous report in the New York Times, Twitter stopped paying rent for offices around the world a few weeks ago to reduce expenses. Earlier, Musk's charter flights for his first week at the company (about $200,000) were not actually settled, and Twitter was facing a lawsuit.
